The Black Dinner (Releases 1st August 2026) Limited 100 bottles Release
The Black Dinner will be released this weekend—Saturday, 1 August 2026, Sydney time. A 24-hour countdown will be shared on Instagram before the release begins.
The Black Dinner continues the story of the infamous event from which it takes its name—a night shaped by political betrayal, false hospitality and a violence that was never truly resolved.
Two young brothers were lured into a castle under the pretence of peace. They were welcomed to the table and served a feast, only for a black bull’s head—the ancient symbol of death—to be placed before them. What followed was not justice, but execution. The brothers were dragged away and beheaded, leaving behind a story of carnage, treachery and an aftermath that would echo through history.
The fragrance follows this story—not literally, but emotionally.
It begins almost beautifully, with a rich bouquet of raspberry and dried fruits, soaked in the dark sweetness of wine. The opening feels celebratory and inviting, like the beginning of a royal feast, while subtle redness from the wine, and berries already hints at what follows next.
At the heart lies a sheer metallic blood accord, created to represent the severed bull’s head placed upon the table and also the carnage that follows. Rather than becoming harsh or unbearable, the blood accord is mixed with Bulgarian rose, Jasmine Sambac and subtle balsamic nuances. The result is strangely beautiful: floral, metallic and hauntingly polished— If you ever bled in your gums and tasted the metallic nature of it, you may also be able to get a gist of what it may smell like.
As the fragrance settles, the feast disappears and only the aftermath remains.
A specially distilled Prachin oud forms the foundation of the composition. Naturally vibrant and intensely fruity at the opening, its nuances rise through the fragrance, connecting the top notes with all base note. Paired with, amber, vanilla, woods and musks create the feeling of an abandoned hall after the violence has ended—warmth still lingering in the air, wine left upon the table, and silence where life once stood.
Siberian deer musk and a soft white musk accord bring depth, intimacy and an almost ghostly presence to the dry down.
